'AFK Arena' and 'Chaos Mobile' Also on the Rise
[Asia Economy Reporter Jin-gyu Lee] NCSoft's Lineage brothers took the 1st and 2nd places respectively in the integrated mobile game rankings for March.
Mobile Index announced the integrated mobile game ranking chart for March on the 17th, based on game revenue from the three major mobile application markets. In the integrated ranking chart, NCSoft's mobile MMORPGs 'Lineage 2M' and 'Lineage M' took the 1st and 2nd places respectively. NCSoft's ambitious title Lineage 2M, released in November last year, has maintained the number one spot in revenue on Google Play for five consecutive months.
Release Games' 'AFK Arena' rose 8 places to 3rd. Unlike the typical decrease in users over time after a game's release, AFK Arena has steadily gained popularity, with the number of users increasing by 24.3%.
XEN Games' 'Chaos Mobile' climbed 41 places to 6th with unstoppable momentum. Chaos Mobile, which ranked first in daily popularity and revenue on One Store in March, also rose from 7th to 3rd in the One Store rankings, showing an upward trend.
Meanwhile, due to the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), various sports mobile games have drawn attention by appearing prominently in the mobile game rankings. Five games ranked within the top 100: Nexon's 'FIFA Online 4M' (7th), Com2uS's 'Com2uS Pro Baseball 2020' (36th), Konami's 'eFootball PES 2020' (81st), and NCSoft's 'Pro Baseball H2' (90th).
