Gwanak-gu, Youth Art Activity Support Contest Announcement

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Gwanak-gu (Mayor Park Jun-hee) is recruiting participants for the 'Youth Arts Activity Support Public Contest' until the 22nd to create an environment for creative activities of youth art groups based in the region and to contribute to the revitalization of local culture and arts.

The contest fields are creative areas that can contribute to the activation of youth culture, and applications are accepted without genre restrictions such as theater, dance, music, and traditional arts.

Applicants must be art groups active with an address in Gwanak-gu, whose representatives are youth aged between 19 and 39 years old.

The district plans to provide differential support up to 5 million KRW for selected projects by reviewing the validity, originality, and community contribution of the project contents through document screening and a selection committee.

Additionally, a mid-term check will be held in September and a project performance report meeting in November to share the progress and results of the projects, aiming to support the settlement and sustainability of youth art groups' activities.

Groups wishing to participate can download the application form from the Gwanak-gu Office website (News & Notices → Announcements → Official Notices), fill it out, and submit it in person to the Youth Policy Division or apply via email (willsij@ga.go.kr).

Mayor Park Jun-hee said, “Through this public contest, we hope to help expand the creative activity base of youth art groups struggling due to COVID-19 and increase opportunities for youth to enjoy culture and arts,” and added, “We ask for active participation from interested youth.”
