[21st General Election] Venture Industry: "Commitment to Implementing Various Venture Development Policy Pledges Is Crucial"

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The venture industry emphasized that the various venture promotion policies proposed in this general election must be feasible and that the willingness to implement them is of utmost importance in the 21st National Assembly.

On the 16th, the Korea Venture Business Association issued a statement regarding the 21st National Assembly election, stating, "We hope that the members will respond to the expectations of the people who desire economic revitalization and national unity with the same passion as at the beginning."

The Korea Venture Business Association said, "Currently, the South Korean economy is facing a low-growth trend and increasing uncertainties in both domestic and international environments due to the spread of the novel coronavirus. Overcoming low growth and spreading the second venture boom to restore the dynamism of ventures is more important than ever," adding, "each political party has reflected the venture industry's proposals by pledging various venture promotion policies such as accelerating regulatory reform, activating scale-ups, and fostering qualitative growth in venture investment, and the willingness to implement these is crucial."

The Korea Venture Business Association continued, "In the 21st National Assembly, we request active support and continuous interest so that our economy can leap forward more vigorously through national innovation via ventures in the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution," and "venture companies will also fulfill their social responsibilities and create jobs for innovative economic growth, and the association expects that the 21st National Assembly will continuously monitor and achieve at least an 80-90% implementation rate of venture-related pledges by the end of its term."
