New Class 'Assassin' Added... New Server 'Askatan' Introduced
[Asia Economy Reporter Jin-gyu Lee] Nexon is continuing its long-term success by implementing a large-scale content update for the mobile massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) 'V4'.
On the 14th, Nexon announced that the update added a close-range class (job) called 'Assassin,' which uses sharp chained battle swords and assassination swords. The Assassin, characterized by fast speed and dynamism, employs a clone skill that makes one body appear as multiple bodies.
Additionally, a new server focused on player versus player (PvP) combat, 'Askatan,' was introduced. Since all hunting grounds are set as lawless zones, players can engage in battles with others anytime and anywhere. When the new server 'Kamaos' was added in February, more than 10,000 players logged in on the update day, causing a queue.
A new region called 'Tolan Basin,' which seems to bring the scenery of the deep sea onto the land, was also unveiled. In Tolan Basin, the field boss 'Bamalon,' who uses water-based skills, appears. Players can obtain a new material called 'Phantom Engraving Stone' by conquering the Tolan Basin.
Guild content was also expanded, including an alliance feature that allows forming alliances with other guilds on the same server, the guild dungeon 'Idol's Artuman,' and 'Guild Buff Effects' that can be applied according to the guild level.
Nexon will provide the 'Contract of the Demon King Kamaos,' which restores items lost due to enhancement failure, until May 4. Hero-grade or higher equipment will be given to existing, new, and returning users, and rare magic stone boxes and other items will be awarded to new server Askatan subscribers. Additionally, from 8 PM on the same day, 'V4 TV' will be broadcast live through the official V4 website.
Meanwhile, V4, released in November last year, ranked 6th in revenue on Google Play as of this day, serving as Nexon's cash cow for five consecutive months.
