[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Seon-ae] Nongshim announced on the 14th that it has launched 'Potato Chip Kimchi Sabalmyeon Flavor,' which combines the original potato chip 'Potato Chip' and 'Kimchi Sabalmyeon.'
Potato Chip Kimchi Sabalmyeon Flavor features 100% raw potato snack Potato Chip combined with the unique spicy and tangy kimchi flavor of Nongshim's representative cup noodle, Kimchi Sabalmyeon. Mixing the two flavors creates a familiar yet new taste.
A Nongshim official said, "The 10-20 age group has a low psychological barrier to new products and tends to enjoy fun items," adding, "We created a fresh combination by combining two steady-seller products that are greatly loved by consumers."
Nongshim's 'Potato Chip Yukgaejang Sabalmyeon,' launched last year, was also popular. At the time of release, consumers praised it, saying, "It feels fresh like dipping potato chips in Yukgaejang Sabalmyeon sauce," and "It's perfect as a beer snack."
Nongshim plans to undertake more diverse activities to revitalize Potato Chip, Korea's first raw potato snack launched in 1980. Currently, the Nongshim Potato Chip collaboration series includes 'Potato Chip Yukgaejang Sabalmyeon Flavor' and 'Potato Chip Kimchi Sabalmyeon Flavor.'
