[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Byung-don] At around 6:29 AM on the 14th, a derailment accident occurred between Yeongdeungpo and Singil stations on Seoul Subway Line 1, causing train operations to be suspended.
According to Korail, due to this accident, express electric trains have been suspended in both directions, and regular electric trains are operating only in the upward direction (toward Seoul Station). Regular downward trains (toward Guro Station) are experiencing delays.
Fortunately, no injuries have been reported.
Korail has completed passenger evacuation measures and is currently investigating the exact cause and managing the accident.
