'Hangout with Yoo' Hyukoh Band, "The No-Audience Concert Made Us Feel More Comfortable and Good"

[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Hyesoo] On the afternoon of the 11th, the MBC show 'Hangout with Yoo' aired a Bangguseok Concert featuring the Hyukoh band and the musical 'Bballae' team.

On this day’s 'Hangout with Yoo' Bangguseok Concert, the Hyukoh band performed their hit songs 'TOMBOY' and 'Help.' After the performance, the Hyukoh band had a brief chat with Yoo Jae-suk, Yoo Hee-yeol, Lee Juck, and Kim Kwang-min. Yoo Jae-suk suggested that the panelists try on the band’s unique jackets.

While trying on the oversized jackets, Yoo Jae-suk said, "It looks like neighborhood kids wearing their dad’s clothes pretending to go to work," and Yoo Hee-yeol couldn’t hold back his laughter when he saw Kim Kwang-min wearing the jacket, saying, "Kwang-min hyung is so funny." Everyone felt awkward trying on the clothes, but Oh Hyuk caught attention by seriously saying it looked cool.

Yoo Jae-suk asked, "How was performing without an audience?" to which Oh Hyuk gave a unique answer, "It felt comfortable and really good." Yoo Jae-suk laughed and said, "Other participants in the Bangguseok Concert said they felt disappointed or that they need an audience to get energy, but our Hyukoh band feels comfortable without one." Yoo Hee-yeol also pointed out, "No wonder you sang the best today."

Additionally, the musical 'Bballae' team’s performance followed in the broadcast. 'Bballae,' a creative musical set in a Seoul hillside neighborhood, has been steadily loved with about 5,000 performances since 2005.

The Bangguseok Concert featured actor Lee Jung-eun, famous for 'Parasite' and 'When the Camellia Blooms,' and currently appearing in 'Once Again,' as well as actor Jung Moon-sung, who has appeared in the musical 'Hedwig' and recently appeared in the drama 'Hospital Playlist,' adding a sense of familiarity. The Bballae team performed famous numbers such as 'You’re So Pretty,' 'Do Laundry When You’re Sad,' and 'How Many Years Have You Lived in Seoul.'
