Deaths of COVID-19 Patients Admitted to Intensive Care Units in Daegu and Goyang

On the 10th, two people died in Daegu and Goyang, Gyeonggi Province due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19). According to health authorities on that day, a 73-year-old woman receiving COVID-19 treatment at Fatima Hospital in Daegu passed away. She was a patient who tested positive for COVID-19 at this hospital on the 17th of last month and had been receiving treatment in the intensive care unit due to respiratory distress symptoms. Her underlying conditions included stroke and others.


Earlier that morning, a 58-year-old man died at Myongji Hospital in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province. He was a Daegu resident who tested positive for COVID-19 in February. He was admitted to the Nonghyup Gyeongju Training Center, a living treatment center, on the 3rd of last month, but developed respiratory distress and was hospitalized at Dongguk University Hospital in Gyeongju. On the 10th of last month, he was transferred to the intensive care unit at Myongji Hospital but ultimately passed away.
