[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] The Ministry of SMEs and Startups (Minister Park Young-sun) and the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development (hereinafter Kised, Director Kim Kwang-hyun) announced on the 10th that they are recruiting participants for the 'Global CEO Development Program' to provide domestic youth with opportunities for global business learning.
The Global CEO Development Program is a project aimed at discovering and nurturing global young entrepreneurs by supporting youth aspiring to start businesses to participate in entrepreneurship education programs at world-renowned universities. Starting last year with collaboration with Israel's Technion Institute of Technology, this year they have added cooperation with the Hebrew University to operate a 4-week local education program during the summer vacation.
The application period is from today until May 8, and applicants must be South Korean nationals who are university or graduate students under the age of 30. Approximately 20 participants will be recruited, and selected candidates will receive support for participation in the 4-week local entrepreneurship education program in Israel and 50% of round-trip airfare.
Kim Kwang-hyun, Director of Kised, said, "We expect this program to strengthen the global business capabilities of domestic youth," adding, "Next year, we plan to expand the program to prestigious universities in various countries with advanced startup ecosystems beyond Israel."
