"Proportional Representation Parties Are Fake Parties and Trick Parties"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Sohn Hak-kyu, the Standing Election Committee Chairman of the Minsheng Party, criticized on the 10th regarding the 21st general election, saying, "A proportional representation party that absolutely does not field constituency candidates in this election is a fake party and a trick party," and added, "Candidates number 1 and 2 created proportional satellite parties. The two major parties are trying to divide the number of National Assembly seats between them. This must never be allowed."
Chairman Sohn made these remarks while conducting a campaign to encourage early voting in front of Yongsan Station Plaza, stating, "Our country's politics, divided into two major parties, just fight and engage in power struggles. This kind of politics must end."
He targeted Ahn Cheol-soo, leader of the People’s Party, saying, "You must never vote for Ahn Cheol-soo’s party, which fields only proportional candidates without any constituency candidates," and pointed out, "That rejects parliamentary democracy."
He continued, "Ahn Cheol-soo’s party confessed that it gave up fielding constituency candidates to avoid splitting opposition votes, even though it did not field any constituency candidates," adding, "It is a satellite party acting as a second faction of the United Future Party."
Chairman Sohn urged, "Please be sure to vote for the Minsheng Party, candidate number 3, the third sector party that will revive our economy," and said, "I hope the people will surely achieve politics that revive our country's politics, livelihood economy, security, and peace."
