[Photo] Seongjanghyeon, Yongsan District Mayor, Holds 'Yongsan Park Development Current Issues Report Meeting'

[Asia Economy Reporter Jong-il Park] Yongsan-gu (Mayor Seongjang Hyun) held the 'Yongsan Park Development Current Issues Project Report Meeting' on the 9th at the district office policy meeting room.

The report meeting lasted for one hour on topics including the relocation of the U.S. military base and the progress of Yongsan Park development, as well as the temporary opening plan for the Foreigners' Apartments (Complex 5). Ten officials attended, including Mayor Seongjang Hyun and Bang Jeong-min, head of the Yongsan Special Headquarters of Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH).

Mayor Seongjang Hyun said, "According to the plan, the Foreigners' Apartments Complex 5 within the Yongsan base will be opened to the public in July," adding, "The district office will do its best to ensure that the voices of the residents are reflected in the park development project."

Last month, LH was designated by the government as the project implementer for the Yongsan Park development. As the jurisdictional local government, the district office plans to continue close cooperation with LH.
