[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Sharon] Changwon City, Gyeongnam announced on the 9th that it will support the '2020 Newlywed Couple Jeonse Loan Interest' for 625 newlywed households starting from the 10th.
The support target is newlywed couples who both have an address in Changwon City as of the announcement date (February 3), have registered their marriage between 2013 and 2019, have no home ownership, and have a median income of 180% or less. Applicants who exceed the income criteria, move in after the announcement date, or whose loans are not from financial institutions or are not jeonse loans will be excluded.
The support amount was originally up to 1 million KRW within 1.2% of the jeonse loan interest (for families with children, an additional 20% per child up to a maximum of 1.5 million KRW), but due to the high number of applications received by the 6th of last month, the support amount will be adjusted within the budget of 500 million KRW to maximize the benefit coverage.
Park Sung-ok, Director of the Housing Policy Division of Changwon City, said, "We will continue this project to ensure housing stability for newlywed couples," and added, "We will do our best to promote housing welfare projects to make Changwon a good place to live and a happy home for newlywed couples."
