[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Daeseop] Kyowon Group announced on the 9th that it has actively supported efforts to prevent academic loss among students related to the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) by providing 'elementary and secondary school subject learning videos' and 'homeschooling materials' for young children.
The group is making the subject learning service 'Naegong 100+', which was previously available only to Smart Kumon members, accessible to everyone. Anyone accessing the Kyowon Kumon website can watch the learning videos without logging in as a member.
In addition to the previously provided mathematics subject, the service has been expanded to include Korean, social studies, and science, helping students learn the main subjects of their grade without academic loss due to school reopening delays.
Kyowon Group provides a total of 88 'homeschooling videos and activity materials' free of charge to Kumon young children members.
A Kyowon Group Kumon official said, "As COVID-19 prolongs, there is concern about academic loss for students who have not been able to start the new semester. We hope that children can maintain their health through proper homeschooling while not losing their study habits and even strengthening their academic performance."
