[Asia Economy Reporter Kwon Haeyoung] NH Nonghyup Bank announced on the 9th that it delivered eco-friendly agricultural product packages to 600 underprivileged households in rural areas, including elderly living alone, children suffering from food insecurity, and multicultural families.
The agricultural product packages consisted of various eco-friendly products such as potatoes, apples, and zucchini, directly produced by farmers. A total of five deliveries worth approximately 100 million KRW will be made nationwide to underprivileged rural groups by the end of June.
Citizens can participate in the social contribution activities supporting underprivileged rural communities by leaving supportive comments on Nonghyup Bank’s social network services (SNS) and Kakao’s social contribution platform ‘Gatgachi,’ where Nonghyup Bank will donate 1,000 KRW per comment.
Son Byunghwan, President of NH Nonghyup Bank, said, “We believe that delivering these eco-friendly agricultural products will be a meaningful social contribution activity supporting both farmers and underprivileged rural communities who are going through difficult times due to COVID-19. We will continue to actively carry out rural support activities to become a reliable pillar for rural areas.”
