RnDeep Develops RED AI Technology to Block Adult Content Such as Illegal Videos and Photos on Telegram

[Asia Economy Reporter Yoo Hyun-seok] RNDeep announced on the 9th that it has implemented a technology based on GAN (Generative Adversarial Network), one of the AI deep learning technologies, to block violence, pornography, and harmful websites.

For technology development, RNDeep trained its AI with about 300,000 adult exposure photos. According to the company, the trained AI can instantly determine whether content is adult material or not.

An RNDeep representative said, "Using Red AI technology, it can accurately detect not only photos and videos but also elements included in drawings," adding, "The inspection takes less than one second."

By combining RNDeep's big data and crawling technology, it is possible to pre-inspect whether a specific site's address contains adult content. The company also explained that this technology can be used for services that block the entire site if adult content is detected.

RNDeep's Red AI technology can be used not only for direct content inspection but also for inspecting URLs. When a URL is sent via messenger, if the content linked to the URL is adult photos or videos, the URL transmission can be blocked.

For harmful website information operated by the government, the system blocks URLs that are manually registered. It is impossible to block newly created sites. Since the number of newly created sites exceeds the speed at which harmful sites are registered, the company explained that it is insufficient to block 100% of harmful sites.

RNDeep Red AI inspects all content linked within a site before a specific user opens it and verifies its harmfulness. In other words, since the AI checks for the presence of adult content before opening the site, it can inspect whether it is a harmful site with much higher accuracy. URLs of harmful sites confirmed in this way are automatically reported to the national harmful site information source, enabling blocking without AI inspection for subsequent access.

Meanwhile, RNDeep is also in the final stages of completing adult content mosaic generation technology and deepfake detection technology, which is scheduled to be released within this month.
