[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] Kim Jong-in, the overall election committee chairman of the Future United Party, said on the 8th, "I cannot help but doubt whether the government, which is creating an election atmosphere that saves Cho Kuk, who says 'I am a socialist,' truly has the conviction to continuously maintain the liberal democratic system."

On the same day, during a campaign rally supporting a candidate in Ansan, Gyeonggi Province, Chairman Kim said, "No matter what happens, we must secure the liberal democratic Republic of Korea that we have protected until now."

Chairman Kim said, "Cho Kuk, throughout his life, has enjoyed more of what our liberal democratic system offers than anyone else, and yet he says, 'I am originally a socialist.' Seeing the election atmosphere that aims to revive such a person, I seriously doubt whether this government truly has the conviction to continuously maintain the liberal democratic system, or if it intends to transform into a socialist state."

Regarding the Democratic Party of Korea, he also pointed out, "Even though everything was already revealed to the world before appointing Cho Kuk, the president forcibly appointed him. The so-called ruling party, the Democratic Party, just blankly stared upwards and said nothing. They only acted as mere rubber stamps."

He also criticized economic issues. Chairman Kim said, "The income-led growth policy implemented by the Moon Jae-in administration over the past three years has not achieved any growth but only produced unemployment and business closures during these three years. Once the coronavirus situation passes, a real economic corona will come. Considering the economic policies this government has pursued over the past three years, I wonder if it can overcome this."
