Silicon Mites Launches Integrated Power Management Chip for Vehicle AVN Systems

[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Silicon Mitus, a company specializing in power management and audio semiconductors, announced on the 8th the release of an automotive AVN (Audio, Video, Navigation) power management chip (model name: SM6700Q).

The automotive AVN power management chip converts, distributes, and controls the power coming from the car battery to suit the vehicle multimedia platform.

The newly released SM6700Q can be used for various power specifications required by automotive multimedia system-on-chip (SoC) platforms such as Power, CPU, Memory, I/O, and I/F needed for automotive infotainment systems. The company explained that all outputs and operating conditions can be controlled based on a digital interface, increasing the product's versatility.

Silicon Mitus SM6700Q features ▲ an input range of 3.5V to 5.5V ▲ six buck regulators and six LDO regulators ▲ a 4-channel 10-bit analog-to-digital converter ▲ and various protection functions including heat, high voltage, and high current detection, enabling integrated power management.

It also supports high-efficiency high-frequency switching regulator operation, allowing the use of miniaturized external components such as inductors and capacitors, enabling optimized space implementation and cost reduction. This product is offered in a 7x7mm QFN 56-pin package.
