Returning Home via Frankfurt, Germany
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] Special flights have been arranged for Korean residents and international students to return home from Spain, where the number of confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) is the highest.
According to the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Spain on the 7th (local time), Asiana Airlines will operate a total of four flights departing from Madrid and Barcelona, the capitals of Spain, on the 10th and 12th, respectively, via Germany to Incheon.
Asiana’s partner, Lufthansa passenger planes, will carry Korean residents from Madrid and Barcelona to Frankfurt, Germany, and two days later, passengers will transfer to Asiana Airlines flights from Frankfurt to Incheon.
The Spanish government, judging that the spread of COVID-19 has entered a downward stabilization trend, is considering gradually easing the nationwide movement restrictions set until the 25th.
