Considering that the first quarter of this year has already passed, it is a target that requires selling about 8,100 units per month going forward to achieve.
This target is interpreted as reflecting Hyundai's determination to raise the monthly sales volume of the Avante in the domestic sedan market to a level similar to that of the Sonata and Grandeur.
The newly launched 7th generation Avante achieved 16,849 pre-orders over 9 business days from the 25th of last month to the 6th of this month. This is an encouraging figure considering the decline in demand for domestic compact sedans and the significant contraction of consumer sentiment due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
Analysis of pre-orders shows that the proportion of customers in their 20s and 30s increased significantly to 44%, compared to 30% for the previous model, and the proportion of customers in their 40s and 50s also reached 42%, confirming balanced preference across all age groups.
A Hyundai Motor official said, "The All-New Avante is a car that will satisfy not only young professionals but also various customer groups with trendy sensibilities," adding, "We plan to conduct extensive test drive and customer participation events through collaborations with various brands, making customers' daily lives smarter."

The Smartstream Gasoline 1.6 MPI engine delivers fuel efficiency of 15.4 km/ℓ, maximum output of 123 horsepower, and maximum torque of 15.7 kgf·m, while the 1.6 LPi engine achieves fuel efficiency of 10.6 km/ℓ, maximum output of 120 horsepower, and maximum torque of 15.5 kgf·m.
The 'All-New Avante,' equipped with the new 3rd generation integrated platform, lowers the overall height and widens the width compared to the previous model, lowering the center of gravity. It secures ample space with the best-in-class wheelbase, as well as improved driving stability.
