Damyang-gun Supports Jeonnam-style 'COVID-19 Emergency Living Expenses'

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Damyang-gun, Jeonnam (Governor Choi Hyung-sik) announced on the 7th that it will provide Jeonnam-type ‘COVID-19 Emergency Living Expenses’ to residents who are experiencing difficulties in their livelihoods due to COVID-19.

Eligibility for application is households that have continuously registered their residence in the county from the 29th of last month until the payment date, with health insurance premiums and property standards (rural area 161.6 million KRW) below 100% of the median income standard.

The county will accept applications for the Jeonnam-type ‘COVID-19 Emergency Living Expenses’ from the 8th of this month until the 15th of next month, both online and at each eup/myeon office.

Based on the number of household members, 300,000 KRW will be paid once to households of 1-2 members, 400,000 KRW to households of 3-4 members, and 500,000 KRW to households of 5 or more members.

Selected households will be paid with Damyang Love Gift Certificates.

However, to prevent duplicate benefits, low-income temporary living support project recipients (basic livelihood security recipients, lower-income classes), COVID-19 hospitalized or quarantined persons, living support and paid leave cost support recipients, 2020 emergency welfare support recipients, unemployment benefit recipients, job-seeking activity allowance recipients, unpaid leave workers, and special employment workers are excluded from support.
