[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Suwan] Actor So Ji-sub (43) and former announcer Jo Eun-jung (26) have registered their marriage and become a married couple.

On the 7th, So Ji-sub's agency 51K released an official statement saying, "We have joyful and blessed news regarding So Ji-sub. So Ji-sub has met a precious partner and tied the knot for a lifetime." They added, "The two, who acknowledged their relationship in 2019, promised to become lifelong companions based on mutual trust and love, and by registering their marriage on April 7, they have become legally married."

They continued, "Respecting So Ji-sub and Jo Eun-jung's wish to quietly cherish the most important and happiest moment of their lives, the ceremony was held quietly with immediate family members. To offer some comfort and help during these difficult times, they donated 50 million won to Good Neighbors, supporting children from educationally vulnerable groups with tablet PCs and smart devices in lieu of a wedding ceremony."

Finally, the statement said, "We express our gratitude to everyone who loves and supports So Ji-sub, and kindly ask for your understanding and generosity in respecting the privacy of the non-celebrity spouse, making it difficult to disclose detailed information about the wedding." Previously, So Ji-sub and Jo Eun-jung revealed their relationship in May last year. It is known that the two first met when So Ji-sub appeared on SBS's 'Night of Real Entertainment' in March 2018 to promote the film 'Be With You.' At that time, Jo Eun-jung was working as a reporter for 'Night of Real Entertainment.'

Meanwhile, So Ji-sub debuted as a model in 1995 and gained recognition by appearing in the MBC sitcom 'Three Men, Three Women.' He later received love from audiences through dramas such as 'Delicious Proposal,' 'Glass Slippers,' 'Thousand Years of Love,' and 'What Happened in Bali.'

Jo Eun-jung, born in 1994, majored in Korean Dance at Ewha Womans University. She debuted as an announcer in 2014 through the game-specialized channel OGN. Additionally, she worked as a reporter for SBS's 'Night of Real Entertainment' from 2016 until the end of June last year.
