Save 100,000 KRW Monthly with an Additional 100,000 KRW Deposit, Receive 7.2 Million KRW After 3 Years
Citizens Aged 18 to 39 with Work Experience, Apply by the 10th at the Population and Employment Department
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Yeosu City, Jeollanam-do announced on the 6th that it is recruiting participants for the Youth Hope Stepping Stone Savings Account project to support the economic independence of hardworking young people.
The city selected 55 participants in January and is recruiting an additional 19 people until the 10th of this month. This project matches the 100,000 KRW monthly savings of the youth with an additional 100,000 KRW, resulting in a total of 7.2 million KRW after a 3-year maturity period.
Applicants must be residents of Yeosu City aged between 18 and 39 years old (born between March 17, 1980, and March 16, 2002) and have at least 90 days of work experience within the last 180 days.
Additionally, the average monthly earned income must be 2 million KRW or less, and the household income recognized amount must be below 120% of the median income to be eligible.
Youth who wish to participate can refer to the required documents in the announcement section on the Yeosu City Hall website and apply by visiting the Population and Employment Division (1st floor of Jinnam Sports Center) within the deadline or by registered mail.
A city official stated, “We expect many young people to secure funds necessary for job seeking, start-ups, marriage, housing, and student loan repayment through this project,” and added, “We hope for active participation from the youth.”
