Ranked 54th, up 6 places from last year
[Asia Economy Reporter Jin-gyu Lee] Netmarble announced on the 6th that it was selected as one of the 'Top 100 Brands in Korea' for the first quarter of this year by Brandstock, a brand value evaluation company.
It ranked 54th overall, rising 6 places compared to last year, and was the only game company to be included in the top 100.
The survey involved 170,000 Brandstock members, and Netmarble scored a total of 844 points (out of 1000) on the Brandstock Index (BSTI). The Brand Stock Index scored 608 points (out of 700), and the Consumer Survey Index scored 236 points (out of 300).
Brandstock explained, "The release of new titles such as 'The Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross' and 'A3: Still Alive' domestically and internationally in the first quarter of this year contributed significantly to achieving good results in major app markets."
On the 3rd of last month, Netmarble launched the mobile role-playing game (RPG) The Seven Deadly Sins: Grand Cross in over 170 countries worldwide. The game ranked 6th in revenue on the North American App Store within a month of its release and is performing well, ranking first in revenue in France, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and other regions.
A3: Still Alive, released domestically on the 12th of last month, ranked 2nd and 3rd in revenue on the domestic Apple App Store and Google Play respectively within a week, and continues to maintain a top revenue position.
Brandstock's Top 100 Brands in Korea is a brand value evaluation certification system that selects and announces the top 100 brands with high BSTI scores. BSTI is a brand value evaluation model combining the Brand Stock Index (70%), formed through simulated stock trading on the Brandstock Stock Exchange for about 1,000 representative brands across 230 sectors, and the regular Consumer Survey Index (30%).
Meanwhile, Netmarble also ranked first in the game category for seven consecutive years in the ‘2020 Korea Brand Star’ announced by Brandstock last month.
