[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Hee-eun Park] Actress and journalist Patricia Bosworth passed away at the age of 86 after testing positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).

Patricia's stepdaughter said in an interview with The New York Times on the 3rd (local time) that her mother, Patricia Bosworth, passed away the day before (the 2nd). She was 86 years old.

Her daughter explained, "This terrible virus took our beloved mother to heaven," describing the late Patricia as a humble and compassionate person.

She also explained that she became family with Patricia after being adopted, and that Patricia embraced not only her but also her children. She added, "Family was everything to her."

In the continuing interview, the stepdaughter shared, "I was sad that I couldn't be with my mother before she passed. But the nurses and doctors said she was communicating by holding a pen. That shows how brave she was," recounting her final moments.

She continued, "I am proud of my mother. My life is filled with gratitude for her," expressing her feelings toward the late Patricia.

Meanwhile, Patricia Bosworth, born in California, left a strong impression on the public by playing a nun alongside Audrey Hepburn in the 1959 film "The Nun's Story." After the 1960s, she pursued a career as a journalist, writing bestselling biographies rather than continuing as an actress.
