Homeplus eParan Foundation and Shinhan Card Donate Hand Sanitizers to Daegu and Gyeongbuk Regions

[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] Homeplus Social Contribution Foundation e-Paran Foundation and Shinhan Card announced on the 5th that they donated hand sanitizers to children and vulnerable groups in the Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions who are struggling due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) crisis.

The donated quantity, totaling about 20,000 units, was delivered to over 100 elementary school care classrooms in Daegu, more than 10 community centers in Daegu and Gyeongbuk, social welfare centers located in Areumin Library, Gyeongju and Gyeongsan City Halls, and the Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters in Gumi City.

Employees of Homeplus and Shinhan Card personally packaged the products with stickers supporting the recovery of the Daegu and Gyeongbuk regions, sharing the difficulties of the local community, and delivered them to each institution.

Both companies plan to continue various social contribution activities for the local community, while supporting local farmers and citizens through expanding fresh produce supply and offering discounts on daily necessities.

Cho Hyun-gu, Secretary General of Homeplus e-Paran Foundation, said, “The two companies united their intentions to contribute a small strength so that Daegu can quickly overcome the crisis,” adding, “Daegu, the hometown where Homeplus’s first store was born, will continue to receive unwavering support to overcome the crisis quickly.”
