'Rugal' Choi Jin-hyuk Discovered Park Sung-woong's Identity... Kim Min-sang and Choi Jin-hyuk Shutdown Measures (Summary)

[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Hyesoo] In the episode of the OCN drama 'Lugal' aired on the afternoon of the 4th, Kang Kibum (played by Choi Jin-hyuk) is shown going berserk after discovering the true identity of Hwang Deukgu (played by Park Sung-woong).

On that day, Manager Oh (played by Park Choong-sun) finds a chip called Brain Doping in the head of an Argos agent who had previously self-destructed. Manager Oh explains, "It is a technology that applies electrical stimulation to the brain to abnormally enhance physical skills." When Kang Kibum asks about the level of danger, Manager Oh replies, "Implanting this in a human head is already crazy, and since high-voltage current was also applied, except for a very few with special constitutions, it would explode for sure."

Bradley (played by Jang In-seop), who scanned the chip, analyzes, "It can be turned on and off remotely, and it has a pressure sensor, so it could have adjusted the voltage by itself," adding, "pressing the designed points like this." Kang Kibum says, "Since both the people and evidence have disappeared, the purpose of the kidnapping might be more than just erasure."

However, Bradley cynically says, "It's so crude that there's no need to worry that much," and adds, "It was already a failed product, so even if the head didn't explode, they would have died eventually." Manager Oh adds, "The reckless procedure must have strained the central nervous system, causing considerable pain and even paralysis in severe cases. Because of these side effects, this technology was excluded in the early days of Lugal."

Kang Kibum proposes an idea that could be a clue to the self-destructing man case, and Director Choi (played by Kim Min-sang) agrees but notifies that the case will be closed for now. When Kang Kibum tries to object, Director Choi says, "I think you've been given enough chances to make up for your mistakes," silencing him. He adds, "Since Lugal is a national agency with a clear command structure, let's wait until responsibilities and results become clear."

Director Choi emphasizes that the middle bosses surrounding the new Argos chairman, the widow Choi Yewon (played by Han Ji-wan), will fight for position, and that internal strife will be a rare opportunity for Lugal. He instructs to let them fight among themselves for the time being. Kang Kibum asks, "Is it because of me?" and Director Choi dismisses it, saying, "Don't make a fuss."

Kang Kibum asks Han Taewoong (played by Jo Dong-hyuk), "Why did you leave Argos?" but Han Taewoong avoids answering, saying, "Don't pretend to be close just because we had a meal once."

Lee Gwangcheol (played by Park Sun-ho) asks Han Taewoong if he was ever involved with Kang Kibum before. Han Taewoong replies, "The detective who put me behind bars," and Lee Gwangcheol is surprised, saying, "Enemies becoming comrades." When Han Taewoong asks, "Isn't that your story?" Lee Gwangcheol nervously says, "Shh! It's a secret." Han Taewoong continues, "If Mina finds out you were caught as a petty criminal, do you think she could live a normal life?"

Han Taewoong and Lee Gwangcheol successfully infiltrate the front gate of Bong Mancheol's (played by Ji Dae-han) Mopin Savings Bank and inform Kang Kibum. Meanwhile, Choi Yewon (played by Han Ji-wan) visits Bong Mancheol, but when a guard blocks her, she calls Bong Mancheol. Choi Yewon says, "I tried to meet today, but there are too many obstacles. If this continues, we'll become strangers. Are you okay with that?" She then warns, "Choose your allies carefully. Decide whose side you'll be on."

Just as Choi Yewon is about to be attacked by Bong Mancheol's henchmen, Kang Kibum, who had been watching, appears. Kang Kibum defeats Bong Mancheol's men with dazzling action moves, and Choi Yewon says, "Thank you. I want to repay you." She hands him a business card, saying, "Contact me. Let's properly introduce ourselves then."

Hwang Deukgu visits Bong Mancheol's office over embezzlement issues and learns that Choi Yewon had been helped by Kang Kibum earlier that day. The Lugal team, watching the confrontation between Hwang Deukgu and Bong Mancheol through a black box, becomes suspicious of Hwang Deukgu, who was promoted from secretary directly to vice chairman.

Bradley teaches Kang Kibum a new technology after Kang Kibum fails to properly handle the black box footage. It is a streaming function that allows monitoring the images Kang Kibum is viewing during operations on a separate monitor.

Hwang Deukgu confronts Choi Yewon, demanding to know Kang Kibum's identity. Choi Yewon evades the question, saying, "Whoever he is, what does it matter?" Hwang Deukgu threatens, "I will shut your mouth. Do you think you can keep this secret?" Choi Yewon retorts sharply, "How long will you keep coming in and out of my house like it's yours? I hate you."

Using Min Dalho to lure Kang Kibum, Hwang Deukgu asks how he was resurrected. The Lugal team monitors this situation through Kang Kibum's streaming function. Hearing Hwang Deukgu shout, "Kang Kibum, who are you!!", Song Mina says, "Senior, it's him!" revealing that Hwang Deukgu is the culprit who killed her and fellow police officers.

Kang Kibum ignores Director Choi's order to capture Hwang Deukgu alive and attacks him. Song Mina asks Director Choi to issue a dispatch order, and Director Choi orders to find Kang Kibum first. When Kang Kibum turns off the streaming function himself, Director Choi shuts him down.

Seeing Kang Kibum shut down, Hwang Deukgu says, "Are you a failed product too? Next time, it's your turn. Look forward to it, Kang Kibum," and leaves. Kang Kibum collapses, painfully shouting, "No!!"
