That day, Song Nahee told Yoon Kyujin, "Let's get a divorce. But there are conditions," adding, "Because Mom is not doing well due to Dahee's (played by Lee Chohui) broken engagement, let's keep it a secret from the elders for now and tell them when the time is right." She continued, "If we sort out the house, we can each get an officetel."
Yoon Kyujin couldn't believe Song Nahee's sudden request, but she stood firm. Song Nahee asked, "When was the last time you and I smiled facing each other?" Yoon Kyujin tried to persuade her, but Song Nahee said, "Also, I can't keep pretending between your arrogant mother and you, who play the ambiguous dutiful son." She then confessed, "I really hate your mother..."
In response to Song Nahee's bombshell remark, Yoon Kyujin vented his accumulated frustrations, saying, "You keep acting like you're the victim, but do you think I'm very happy living with you?"
Meanwhile, Song Dahee gets a chance to become a full-time employee based on the results of a 6-night, 8-day Spain package plan. The team leader warned that only one between her and a colleague could become a full-time employee, leading to competition between them.
Choi Yoonjung (played by Kim Boyeon) caught Jang Okbun (played by Cha Hwayeon), who was passing by in front of her store, and brought her inside to talk about Song Dahee's broken engagement. Jang Okbun tried to downplay it, saying, "It's not a divorce but a broken engagement, so it's no big deal," but Choi Yoonjung irritated her by saying, "You even had the wedding ceremony and then called it off. Song Nahee handed the divorce papers to Yoon Kyujin at the hospital. She notified him, "I've signed, so once it's sorted, you have to file it." As she turned to leave, Yoon Kyujin said, "Is there any reason to delay?" and signed immediately. When Song Nahee asked when they would go to the court, Yoon Kyujin replied, "Do as you please. Meanwhile, by the hospital director's invitation, Yoon Kyujin and Song Nahee went to the conference room. The director introduced Yoon Jaeseok (played by Lee Sangyi), who had just joined the dental orthodontics center, and it turned out he was Yoon Kyujin's older brother.
Back in the treatment room, Yoon Kyujin received a text from Song Nahee saying, "I'm leaving now. See you in front of the court," and angrily asked, "Are you really going to the court?" On his way to the court, Yoon Kyujin heard from a junior that there was an emergency patient and went to see the patient. Song Nahee, waiting in front of the court, called the hospital and learned that Yoon Kyujin had entered the emergency room.
After returning home, Yoon Kyujin started making excuses to Song Nahee, saying that an emergency patient came up on the way to the court. Song Nahee was suspicious, asking, "Wasn't there a separate emergency duty?" but Yoon Kyujin replied, "There was, but the kid was flustered." Song Nahee urged, "Let's definitely go tomorrow."
Song Dahee discovered that the Spain package presentation materials she had completed the night before had disappeared. She honestly told the team leader that the materials were missing, but the team leader didn't believe her. Although Song Dahee suspected her competing colleague, she decided to pretend not to know because she felt sorry for her situation. Eventually, Song Dahee said she probably forgot to save the file and asked for a chance to present orally without the materials. However, the team leader refused, saying, "This isn't a school presentation. How can you do a PT in front of the director without materials?"
The team leader then insulted Song Dahee, mentioning her specs and saying, "There's a reason you keep hopping from one internship to another at your age," adding, "That's why you get broken engagements from men." Song Dahee exploded, saying, "How do you know whether I was the one who broke off the engagement or was dumped?" and vented her long-held frustration.
Drinking beer alone to drown her sorrows, Song Dahee ran into Yoon Jaeseok. Earlier, Yoon Jaeseok had witnessed Song Dahee being unfairly broken off with. As Song Dahee left the bar with her luggage, Yoon Jaeseok helped carry it. Song Dahee suggested to Yoon Jaeseok, "I want to get drunk, so let's have just one more drink."
At a pojangmacha (street food stall), Song Dahee told Yoon Jaeseok, "I said let's drink because I didn't know anyone," and confessed, "I feel so suffocated." After lamenting her troubles to Yoon Jaeseok and about to pay the bill, Song Dahee realized she was short on money. She left a napkin on the table that read, "Sorry. Song Nahee and Yoon Kyujin eventually filed the divorce papers. Yoon Kyujin was surprised at how quickly it was done, saying, "Filing divorce papers. It's really simple," and Song Nahee replied, "Becoming strangers is really easy." However, when selling the house didn't go as planned, they agreed to live together in one house until the house price rises.
Song Dahee shocked her family by announcing in front of them that she quit her job and plans to transfer to a four-year university after studying.
