Seodaemun-gu Reports 2 COVID-19 Cases from UK Arrivals

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] On the 4th, the 16th and 17th confirmed COVID-19 cases among Seodaemun-gu residents were reported.

Both individuals entered the country through Incheon International Airport from the United Kingdom.

The 16th confirmed case is a 19-year-old male residing in Changcheon-dong. He arrived on the 3rd and was tested at the Seodaemun-gu Public Health Center screening clinic on the same day. On the morning of the 4th, he was confirmed positive and transferred to the residential treatment center set up by Seoul City at Taereung Athletes' Village.

The 17th confirmed case is a 25-year-old female residing in Bukgajwa 2-dong. She arrived on the 2nd and was tested at the Seodaemun-gu Public Health Center screening clinic on the 3rd. On the morning of the 4th, she was confirmed positive and transferred to Seoul Medical Center in Jungnang-gu, a nationally designated isolation hospital.

Seodaemun-gu conducted disinfection around the confirmed patients' residences and plans to investigate their movement routes and disclose the information on the district's official website.
