[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Park Hee-eun] Youngtak shared his views on the prize money for the first place winner of 'Mr. Trot.'
On the 3rd, a video titled 'A Day of Youngtak' was released on Youngtak's YouTube channel 'Youngtak's Bulssook TV.'
In the video, he visited a recording studio after a pre-interview for MBC's 'Radio Star.'
That day, Youngtak met the singer Outsider at the recording studio. Outsider asked Youngtak if he felt the prize money for winning 'Mr. Trot' was insufficient. The first-place winner of 'Mr. Trot' could receive 200 pairs of shoes, 100 million won, and a car as prize money. Additionally, they would get a new song composed by Jo Young-soo.
In response, Youngtak said, "I gained so many things," adding, "None of it feels like a loss. It was money and a car that I never had before," creating a warm atmosphere. He then jokingly said, "I don't even have a driver's license."
However, Youngtak expressed some regret about the song, saying, "I do feel a bit disappointed about the new song by composer Jo Young-soo." He recalled, "Around 2007 or 2008, I received a song from composer Jo Young-soo and even finished the master recording."
Meanwhile, Youngtak placed second, the runner-up, in TV Chosun's 'Mr. Trot,' which ended last month.
