On the 3rd, the MBN show 'Modern Family' featured Choi Jun-young and his wife visiting the home of Jo Hye-ryeon's family, who are approaching their 6th year of remarriage. The visit was to seek advice regarding their son Hyun-woo, who has a similar family background to Jo Hye-ryeon's son.
Jo Hye-ryeon shared the news that her son Woo-ju passed both middle school and high school equivalency exams within three months and was later admitted early to a university known for gaming. Choi Jun-young expressed his envy.
She then opened up about the difficult times the children experienced after the divorce and remarriage. Jo Hye-ryeon confessed, "The children were hurt by the divorce."
Woo-ju, who stopped by home during his college life, honestly expressed his feelings about Jo Hye-ryeon's remarriage. He said, "At 13 years old, I hated that my mother chose to remarry," and added, "The divorce was also a shock. When the uncle first greeted me, I showed that I disliked him."
In response, Jo Hye-ryeon told Woo-ju, "One day, Woo-ju said he thought the remarriage was a good decision," and shared, "The uncle is truly a good person. It took a few years for my daughter to admit that she wanted to have a love like that between her mother and the uncle."
Woo-ju grew closer to the uncle through dating advice. The uncle also mediated between Jo Hye-ryeon and Woo-ju, who often fought. Woo-ju confessed, "When I think of the uncle, I felt he was someone I could consult about my worries."
Woo-ju expressed his affection for his family, saying, "When I was in the Philippines, I felt the importance of family. When I was sick and lonely, I realized I had no family. I cried a lot there."
