President Moon Thanks Vietnam for Allowing Entry of Our Businesspeople

President Moon Jae-in Discusses COVID-19 Response in Phone Call with Vietnamese Prime Minister

[Asia Economy Reporter Ryu Jeong-min] Kang Min-seok, spokesperson for the Blue House, announced on the 3rd, "President Moon Jae-in had a 20-minute phone call with Prime Minister Nguy?n Xu?n Ph?c of Vietnam starting at 4 PM to discuss bilateral and multilateral cooperation measures for responding to COVID-19."


President Moon said, "At the G20 special video summit, there was a consensus among the leaders on the need to allow the movement of essential personnel such as businesspeople within the scope that does not hinder each country's quarantine measures," adding, "I appreciate the Prime Minister's special consideration of the relationship between our two countries and the measures taken to enable our businesspeople to enter Vietnam."

President Moon added, "I ask for continued attention and support so that small and medium-sized enterprise personnel can also enter Vietnam as soon as possible to ensure the smooth operation of local factories in Vietnam."


Prime Minister Ph?c said, "Vietnam values the cooperative partnership between our two countries. We agree that continuous cooperation in the economic sector, including exchanges between companies of both countries, should be maintained," and added, "Let us continue to communicate closely and cooperate continuously as we have done so far."


Prime Minister Ph?c proposed cooperation in quarantine and clinical fields, saying, "Korea's diagnostic testing is a global model and is receiving international attention."
