The police stated, "'Chujeokdan Bulkkot' has not suffered any harm so far due to their public interest report, but after confirming their request for identity protection, we made this decision."
Accordingly, the police are providing them with smartwatches and other protective measures. Additionally, a police officer in charge of protection has been assigned to regularly check the safety of the individuals.
A police official said, "We plan to strictly punish perpetrators who distribute personal information of public interest whistleblowers or threaten and harm them."
