Yeosu City Supports Mortgage Interest for Newlywed Couples and Multi-Child Families

Support for the First 58 Households from the 6th to August 28th

Yeosu City Supports Mortgage Interest for Newlywed Couples and Multi-Child Families

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Yeosu City in Jeollanam-do announced on the 2nd that it will provide partial support for loan interest related to housing purchases on a first-come, first-served basis to 58 newlywed couples and multi-child families in the area.

This is to reduce the economic burden of housing purchases for the younger generation, encourage marriage, and create an environment conducive to childbirth and child-rearing.

Eligibility for application includes newlywed couples without a home residing in Yeosu City (married within 7 years, both spouses under 49 years old) or multi-child families (with three or more minor children, at least one of whom is 12 years old or younger), who have newly purchased a home in Yeosu City from December last year to this year through loan screening by the Korea Housing Finance Corporation.

Households owning multiple homes, or those receiving housing purchase support such as housing benefits from the state or local governments, are excluded.

Applications can be submitted from the 6th to August 28th by downloading the application form from the announcement section on the Yeosu City website and visiting the local town office or community service center for submission.

A city official said, “We hope this will help young generations who find it difficult to own a home to build happy families, even if just a little,” and added, “We will continue to strive to make Yeosu a city that is good for having and raising children and a great place to live.”
