[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jonghyo] Busan City announced on the 2nd that it is operating the 'Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Integrated Permit Support System,' which allows for online application of development activity permits, inquiry of processing results, and issuance of completion inspection certificates without visiting district or county offices.

The integrated permit support service provides a single system for receiving and processing development activity permit applications such as landform changes, soil and rock excavation, and land division. The system has been developed since August last year to promote online development activity permits under the 'Special Act on Simplification of Land Use Permit Procedures.' With the installation of the system completed in local governments nationwide, online application and processing of development activity permits are now possible for 16 districts and counties in the Busan area.

Busan City expects that the online service will eliminate the inconvenience of citizens having to visit district or county offices in person, and by allowing direct confirmation of the processing staff and process, it will provide prompt and transparent development activity permit information.

A city official stated, "The integrated permit support system is a service that allows permit applications anytime and anywhere, and provides all related information on development activity permits such as laws and regulations in one place," adding, "We will continuously improve and stabilize the system functions to ensure there is no inconvenience in use and strive to improve public services."
