[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Young-wook] Gyeongsan City, Gyeongbuk Province announced that it will start accepting applications for the COVID-19 emergency disaster relief fund from the 1st.
The emergency disaster relief fund amounts to a total of 28 billion KRW, including 14.5 billion KRW from the national government, 1.9 billion KRW from the provincial government, and 11.6 billion KRW from the city government.
Applicants should visit the Eup, Myeon, or Dong administrative welfare center on the designated day based on the last digit of the head of household’s birth year, similar to the public mask 5-day rotation system.
Required documents for application include an ID card, application form, personal information consent form, income declaration form, household member verification documents, and property verification documents. The fund will be provided to households residing in Gyeongsan with an income at or below 100% of the median income standard, with amounts ranging from 300,000 to 800,000 KRW, distributed via prepaid cards and Onnuri gift certificates according to income and family size.
Separately, Gyeongsan City formed a "COVID-19 Emergency Disaster Relief Rapid Support Task Force" led by Vice Mayor Lee Jang-sik, which began operations on the same day. The task force consists of 81 members organized into 3 teams and 5 divisions.
