Hana Bank Selects Actor Kim Soo-hyun as Advertising Model

[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Min-young] Hana Bank announced on the 1st that it has selected actor Kim Soo-hyun, a representative Korean Wave star of South Korea, as its new advertising model.

Kim Soo-hyun previously worked as an advertising model for Hana Financial Group in 2014. This marks their second collaboration.

Kim Soo-hyun, who has played leading roles in numerous works such as the dramas The Moon Embracing the Sun, My Love from the Star, and Producer, is a Korean Wave star enjoying great popularity not only in Korea but also in China and East Asia. A bank official explained that he was evaluated as the optimal model to promote Hana Bank’s global competitiveness and New Southern Policy expansion, leading to his joining as the new advertising model.

Hana Bank plans to launch an advertisement for its smartphone application, Hana One Q, during the first half of the year.

Additionally, Hana Bank intends to release a color bar advertisement combining the dynamic and healthy image of its existing advertising model, soccer player Son Heung-min, with the sophisticated and intellectual image of the newly joined Kim Soo-hyun.

A Hana Bank official stated, “Kim Soo-hyun’s completion of military service in the Forward Reconnaissance Battalion and his continued engagement in various donation activities, fulfilling his responsibilities as a member of society, align with Hana Bank’s management principle of pursuing ‘joy for all.’”
