"Senior Party Leader's 'Frivolous Remarks'... Immediate Apology Required"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] On the 1st, the Minsaeng Party criticized Rep. Yoo Seung-min of the Future United Party for his remark during the COVID-19 situation, saying, "Our people are neither fools nor dogs," stating, "We are appalled by the frivolous speech of a conservative politician at the party leader level."
Lee Yeon-gi, spokesperson for the Minsaeng Party's election countermeasures committee, said in a statement that day, "According to Rep. Yoo's logic, it is difficult to rule out the possibility that people who do not go to the polling station due to COVID stress or who go but do not support the United Party candidate may be subjected to abusive language calling them fools or dogs at any time."
Spokesperson Lee pointed out, "Whether it is partisan logic swept up by the atmosphere on the ground, a limitation in understanding the meaning of words, or a reflection of a poor inner self, Rep. Yoo should at least pretend to retract those abusive remarks before the national anger index rises further."
He added, "Rep. Yoo should immediately apologize and step down from the front lines," and stated, "The United Party should firmly discipline Rep. Yoo's rudeness toward the people, if only to somewhat dilute the image of being a 'habitual abusive language party.'"
