[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Min Jun-young] Announcer Kim Soo-min reflected on a past SNS dispute with a friend, calling it a "reckless action."
On the 25th, SBS PowerFM's 'Jo Jung-sik's Fun Fun Today' featured SBS announcer Kim Soo-min in the 'Leaving Work' segment.
During the broadcast, Jo Jung-sik mentioned to Kim Soo-min, "There was trouble with a friend, which was exposed on SNS and became news." He added, "Kim Soo-min, that friend, and even I who selected Kim Soo-min were all surprised," recalling the incident. He also said with a smile, "I even suggested introducing her in the lobby announcer section as 'someone who reconciled after fighting with a friend.' It would have been impactful and good, but it’s a pity we didn’t do it."
Announcer Kim Soo-min briefly explained the situation. She said, "It was before I officially joined, but my SNS was made into an article and even appeared in real-time search rankings, which surprised me," and apologized, "I was lacking. I think it was a youthful and reckless action." She added, "Isn't it natural to have a fight grabbing hair at least once in life?"
Kim Soo-min is the youngest announcer to pass SBS's open recruitment at age 22. In 2018, before joining, she gained attention for exposing a friend's behind-the-back remarks. According to the post she revealed, a friend congratulating her on passing mocked her on SNS, saying, "Do you already think you’re a celebrity? You have a history of making many people around you dislike you, big or small. I hope you don’t do the same things when you enter society."
Kim responded immediately, showing discomfort, saying, "If you were going to post something like this, you shouldn’t have congratulated me. I hope you delete the post yourself."
