[Asia Economy Reporter Eunmo Koo] Nanomedics has changed its company name to ‘ENPLUS’ and is accelerating its overseas expansion of special-purpose vehicles and growth in advanced materials business centered on graphene.
Nanomedics announced on the 31st that it held an annual general meeting of shareholders and changed its company name from Nanomedics to ‘ENPLUS’.
To secure growth engines centered on advanced materials, Nanomedics invested in Standard Graphene, a graphene specialist company, in June last year. Standard Graphene is a company recognized for its external technological capabilities, having been selected as one of the Top 10 Asia-Pacific Advanced Materials Technology Companies in 2020 by the US technology magazine ‘Manufacturing Technology Insights’.
Nanomedics is focusing on developing applied products for industrial applications of graphene while establishing a joint venture with Standard Graphene to expand mass production facilities. Recently, it has been actively entering the materials business centered on graphene, including producing batteries for electric vehicles using secondary batteries in collaboration with China’s FC New Energy.
A company official said, “The name change signifies a strong focus on improving profit fundamentals through concentration on core businesses,” adding, “This year, significant performance growth in the special-purpose vehicle business is expected, especially in the Philippine market, and the advanced materials business centered on graphene will also grow based on the completion of mass production facility expansion.”
