[Featured Stock] US Pompeo Emphasizes Dialogue with North Korea Again, Driving Up North Korea-Related Stocks

[Asia Economy Reporter Minwoo Lee] As U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo reiterated his willingness to engage in dialogue with North Korea, stocks related to North Korea are showing an upward trend.


As of 11:30 a.m. on the 31st, Hyundai Elevator is trading at 59,500 won, up 13.77% from the previous day. Around 10:48 a.m., it even rose to 64,400 won, up 23.14% from the previous day.


Kyungnong is also recording 9,430 won, up 27.95% from the previous day. Ananti and Dohwa Engineering are also rising by 26.05% and 16.16%, respectively.


Earlier, on the 30th (local time), Secretary Pompeo expressed his willingness to engage in dialogue with North Korea, saying, "I hope to sit down again with the North Korean leadership." This came just hours after North Korea harshly criticized Pompeo's remarks and declared it had given up on talks with the U.S., showing once again his intention for negotiation and dialogue.
