On the 31st, the National Health Commission of China (NHC) announced that as of midnight, 48 new confirmed COVID-19 cases and 1 death were reported in China. All 48 new confirmed cases are imported from overseas, and the 1 death was a patient from Hubei Province.
So far, the total number of imported COVID-19 cases is 771, with 667 currently classified as confirmed cases excluding 104 discharged patients. The number of suspected cases is 180.
The total cumulative number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in China is 81,518. Among them, 76,052 have recovered and been discharged, and 3,305 have died. Currently, 2,161 confirmed patients are undergoing treatment, and the number of suspected cases is 183. The number of close contacts under medical observation is 19,853.
Meanwhile, outside mainland China in the Greater China region, cumulative confirmed COVID-19 cases reported are 682 in Hong Kong, 39 in Macao, and 306 in Taiwan.
