Open Recruitment for Resident Participation Advisory Group at Eunpyeong Metropolitan Resource Circulation Center

Eunpyeong Regional Resource Circulation Center Implements Resident Participation from Design Stage... Forming Consensus through Advisory Group with Residents and Experts

[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Eunpyeong-gu (Mayor Kim Mi-kyung) is publicly recruiting a resident participation advisory group for 10 days until April 10 to create a resource circulation city of tomorrow together through resident participation in the construction project of the Eunpyeong Metropolitan Resource Circulation Center.

The resident participation advisory group to be recruited this time consists of a total of 30 members, divided into two fields: 20 in resident participation and 10 in design expertise.

The resident participation field is open to anyone aged 20 or older who has professional knowledge or extensive work experience in resource circulation and is a resident of Eunpyeong-gu or Goyang-si (such as Jichuk-dong).

The design expertise field is recruiting experts in architecture, civil engineering, mechanical, electrical, and related fields who can provide professional advice on the design contents of the Eunpyeong Metropolitan Resource Circulation Center construction project. Detailed eligibility requirements can be found on the Eunpyeong-gu website.

Residents wishing to participate in the resident participation advisory group (residents of Eunpyeong-gu, and Samsong-dong, Wonheung-dong, Jichuk-dong, Dongsan-dong in Goyang-si) can download the application form from the Eunpyeong-gu Office website and submit it along with the required documents to the Resource Circulation Division of Eunpyeong-gu Office via email by April 10.

The resident participation advisory group recruited this time will be fairly selected by comprehensively considering motivation for participation, career details, bonus points, etc., and the final list of selected members will be announced on April 17 through the Eunpyeong-gu Office website.

The resident participation advisory group will participate in the basic and detailed design process of the Eunpyeong Metropolitan Resource Circulation Center construction project, provide advice and opinions, and participate as members of the Eunpyeong Resource Circulation Promotion Team in various resource circulation activities such as the recycling MoaMoa project and waste reduction.

Also, the design contents of the Eunpyeong Metropolitan Resource Circulation Center construction project will be transparently disclosed to residents once a month through the Eunpyeong Metropolitan Resource Circulation Center Awareness website, and a ‘Suggestion Board’ will be newly established on the website to unify various opinion collection and proposal channels from residents.

Any resident can propose opinions on the design contents through the ‘Suggestion Board,’ and the proposed contents will be reviewed by design participants and reflected in the final design.
