Ziccut Launches Online-Only Line Targeting Generation Z


[Asia Economy Reporter Yujin Cho] Shinsegae International's in-house women's wear brand, G-cut, is launching an online-exclusive line targeting the Gen Z generation (born after 1995) this spring.


G-cut stated, "As the number of young customers who prefer online and mobile shopping has increased, leading to a rise in online sales, we planned an online-exclusive line that offers both cost-effectiveness and emotional value."


The online-exclusive line is priced 30-50% lower than existing G-cut products to lower the entry barrier for younger customers, and it features fresh designs that quickly reflect rapidly changing fashion trends.


Among them, the SIV Exclusive products, planned exclusively for the company's mall SI Village, consist only of items priced under 100,000 KRW, which is more than 50% cheaper than existing products, enhancing price competitiveness.


For this online-exclusive line, G-cut analyzed the product designs most purchased by customers in their 20s from previously sold items and lined up 54 highly versatile products suitable for daily wear.


First, neutral colors such as ivory, beige, and brown, which are easy to coordinate, were used as the base, with pastel colors like pink, mint, and yellow added as accents. The subtle floral and dot patterns used in dresses and blouses reflect the liveliness of customers in their 20s.


Many popular items with the highest purchase rates among the Gen Z generation, such as dresses and graphic T-shirts, will also be released. The lineup includes feminine dresses emphasizing shoulder puffs and ruffles, slip dresses, and robe dresses. Among these, the slip dress can create a casual look when worn with a T-shirt or a feminine look when worn alone or layered with a jacket.


Additionally, seven types of T-shirts will be released, each featuring different graphics and various colors to add fun to spring and summer outfits.


G-cut's online-exclusive line can be found on SI Village and the women's fashion platform W Concept, with a launch commemorative 10% + 10% discount available from the 1st to the 12th of next month. Furthermore, all customers who make a purchase will receive a grip tok (smartphone accessory), a must-have item for the younger generation, on a first-come, first-served basis.
