Yoon stated, "The establishment of Mokpo University College of Medicine and University Hospital has become a reality through the persistent efforts of the citizens of Mokpo and myself, Yoon So-ha, over the past four years," and expressed concern about "some politicians who have made no effort for four years but now suddenly claim it as their own achievement or advocate for the establishment of medical schools in other regions."
