A Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency official stated at a press briefing on the 30th, "We questioned President Lee on the morning of the 22nd." However, they did not disclose whether she was questioned as a witness or as a suspect.
Newstapa raised suspicions that President Lee habitually administered propofol through an interview with A, who worked as a nurse assistant at a plastic surgery clinic in 2016.
The police booked the hospital director on charges of violating the Medical Service Act and the Narcotics Control Act, and conducted a total of eight raids on the hospital and financial institutions, securing related materials such as medical records and narcotics management ledgers.
A police official said, "There are a few statements left to investigate, and we need to further verify the contents seized during the raids, so more investigation is necessary at this stage," adding, "We will conclude the investigation promptly and reach a decision."
