[Asia Economy Reporter Park Byung-hee] The Seoul Arts Troupe is launching 'Channel SPAC,' an online streaming service offering four original musical theater productions performed between 2013 and 2018, through Naver TV.
'Channel SPAC' is a service that provides recorded live performances online for audiences unable to attend performing arts events in theaters due to the spread of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19). It allows viewers to enjoy Seoul Arts Troupe's performances while practicing social distancing in the comfort of their homes.
The productions featured through online streaming are original musical theater works created since 2013 that have not been added to the regular repertoire, making them difficult to see again in theaters. Seoul Arts Troupe conducted an online vote from March 25 to 29 among nine works to select four productions.
The four works chosen by audience vote are 'Blue Eyes Park Yeon (2013)', 'Early Spring Late Winter (2015)', 'Chilseo (2017)', and 'Geumranbang (2018)'.
Starting with 'Early Spring Late Winter' at 7:30 PM on April 6, the performances will be available free of charge to anyone through Naver's performance channel over four sessions on Mondays and Wednesdays for two weeks.
