CJ Group Provides Daily Necessities Worth 150 Million KRW for Study Room Children Nationwide

[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Saeng-hye] CJ Group has provided daily necessities and school supplies to children in study rooms nationwide.

The CJ Sharing Foundation announced on the 30th that it delivered CJ Gift Cards worth 150 million KRW to over 530 after-school care study rooms across the country.

The beneficiaries are approximately 1,600 children from households who applied through study room teachers nationwide via the CJ Donors Camp website. The study rooms that received the gift cards purchased daily necessities and school supplies worth about 100,000 KRW per household through CJ Mall and Olive Young online malls, and delivered them to the children's homes.

Including the food support provided on the 2nd to children at risk of food insecurity due to delayed school openings and study room closures amid the COVID-19 pandemic, a total of goods worth about 300 million KRW have been delivered.

A CJ Donors Camp official stated, “We decided to provide support to offer practical help to children and adolescents who do not lose their dreams despite difficult circumstances,” and added, “We will continue to maintain interest and carry out support activities for children by utilizing CJ’s resources and infrastructure.”
