[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunju Lee] The Seoul Metropolitan Office of Education announced the "2021 Academic Year Seoul Metropolitan High School Admission Basic Plan" on the 30th.

Among the 85 early high schools, science high schools will accept applications from August 24 to 26. Seoul Physical Education High School will recruit separately for special admissions (October 26-27) and general admissions (November 2-3). Arts high schools and Meister high schools will accept applications from October 19 to 22, while specialized high schools will recruit for special admissions (November 26-27) and general admissions (December 3-4).

For late high schools such as Autonomous Private High Schools (Jasago), Foreign Language High Schools, International High Schools, General High Schools, and Autonomous Public High Schools (Jagongo), most will accept applications from December 9 to 11. Only Hankwang High School and Korea Samyook High School have application periods from December 8 to 9.

This year as well, overlapping applications are allowed between Jasago, Foreign Language High Schools, International High Schools, and General High Schools and Jagongo.

However, if there are changes to the nationwide admission schedule due to COVID-19 this year, the plan to change will be announced three months prior to the admission implementation date.
