The 17th confirmed case (24 years old, female), who was finally confirmed positive on the morning of the 28th, is a student who returned from the United States on the 26th. On the day she was confirmed positive, around 4:30 PM, she was transferred to Seonam Hospital, designated as a COVID-19 dedicated hospital.
Afterwards, immediate disinfection and quarantine were completed at the confirmed patient's residence, visited locations, and nearby areas.
The district is making every effort to manage overseas arrivals. Even those separated as asymptomatic at airport quarantine stations are required to self-isolate, and active monitoring is conducted daily through phone calls and other means.
Kim Soo-young, Mayor of Yangcheon-gu, stated, “To prevent the spread of COVID-19, please refrain from attending religious gatherings such as worship services and meetings with many participants, and strictly follow personal hygiene rules such as wearing masks in daily life and practicing proper cough etiquette.” He added, “We will promptly inform the public if additional confirmed cases occur.”
