'Hyena' Ju Ji-hoon’s Straightforward Love Confession, Kim Hye-soo Warns "Your Father Will Soon Collapse" (Summary)

[Asia Economy Reporter Kang Hyesoo] On the 28th, SBS's 'Hyena' depicted Jung Geumja (played by Kim Hyesoo), who feels guilty over Seo Jeonghwa's (played by Lee Jooyeon) death, and Yoon Heejae (played by Joo Jihoon), who is facing a crisis due to inheritance tax law.

Seeing Ha Chanho covered in blood, Jung Geumja persuades Yoon Heejae that they need to assess the situation before reporting to the police. They then reconstruct the incident and take photos of the scene. Jung Geumja asks Ha Chanho (played by Ji Hyunjun), "Did President Ha kill Seo Jeonghwa?" but Ha Chanho only repeats, "I don't know."

Judging that Ha Chanho is in a state of diminished capacity, Jung Geumja concludes that once the police get involved, it's over. After Jung Geumja finishes analyzing the scene, Yoon Heejae immediately reports to the police. After the police arrive, Ha Chanho is arrested on the spot as a suspect.

After leaving the crime scene, Jung Geumja tells Yoon Heejae to stay at the police station with Director Jo (played by Park Sooyoung). When Yoon Heejae asks Jung Geumja, "I need to know what you know about Seo Jeonghwa and Ha Chanho," she replies, "Later."

At the police station, Yoon Heejae asks Ha Chanho, "Please honestly tell me what happened," but Ha Chanho refuses to give a detailed statement, saying, "Honestly, I drank and don't remember. That's all I have to say. Call Lawyer Jeong."

Yoon Heejae calls Song Piljoong (played by Lee Kyungyoung) to report the current situation as "an apparent accidental crime, and the scene points to President Ha as the culprit." Song Piljoong is displeased to learn that Jung Geumja was at the scene and instructs to keep reporting the progress. He then calls Chairman Ha (played by Lee Dokyung) to assure him, "Don't worry. Everything will be fine."

Jung Geumja visits Ha Chanho's half-brother Ha Junho to inform him of Seo Jeonghwa's death. She asks, "Did you know Ha Chanho suspected something between you and Seo Jeonghwa?" and says, "No one knows why Seo Jeonghwa ended up like this. It might not be Ha Chanho who gets caught, so be honest. Did you meet or talk to Seo Jeonghwa today?" Ha Junho replies that he only called her.

Song Chairman visits Chairman Ha and recommends Ha Junho, not Ha Hyewon (played by Kim Youngah), as the successor of Isum. Chairman Ha says Ha Junho is still too young, but Song President confidently says he will take responsibility and make him useful. Chairman Ha then asks him to take good care of Chanho.

In fact, Jung Geumja met Ha Chanho shortly before Seo Jeonghwa's murder. Ha Chanho told Jung Geumja, "You know about the relationship between Ha Junho and Seo Jeonghwa, right?" and said, "There is no physical evidence, but something happened between them." He urged Jung Geumja, "Since you brought Seo Jeonghwa to me, find out about their relationship."

Meanwhile, Kim Minju (played by Kim Hojung) gets angry when Kevin Jung doesn't answer the phone. Ma Seokgu (played by Song Younggyu), who came to see CEO Kim, says, "Now is the perfect time," and tries to persuade CEO Kim, "If Ha Chanho wavers, Song President will too. We just need to strike now." He suggests using Ha Hyewon, but CEO Kim hesitates, saying, "Let's see how Song President acts first." When Ma Seokgu insists, CEO Kim dismisses his opinion, saying, "I don't need Ma's thoughts; I'm right."

Jung Geumja asks Ha Chanho again what happened at the time. Ha Chanho says he attached a tracking device to Seo Jeonghwa's phone and recalls, "She said she could never be with me again, so we fought, I tried to calm her down, begged her, did everything." He continues, "I drank, and when I woke up, Jeonghwa was lying down. I shook her, but she didn't wake up. Is she really dead?"

When Jung Geumja asks how much he drank, Ha Chanho says, "About half a bottle of whiskey," adding, "I wasn't that drunk." He suspects Junho might have done it, but Jung Geumja tells him Junho has an alibi. However, Ha Chanho keeps doubting his own statement.

Ha Hyewon visits Chairman Ha, saying the stock price is falling and the situation must be resolved immediately. Chairman Ha firmly says, "No matter what, you will never be the CEO." Sensing this, Ha Hyewon asks, "Are you planning to call Junho instead?" and snaps at Yoon Heejae, who is present, "Is that why you're here? Trying to stick around this time?" She warns, "You better do it right. This time, I might stab you in the back. Your father should be careful too."

Meeting Song President, Assemblyman Ha says Isum must not waver and mentions that Song President caused a 13% drop in approval ratings. Song President dismisses this, saying, "I gained the approval ratings, and I can lose them. You just focus forward; I'll watch your back." Assemblyman Ha also relays that Judge Yoon opposes the inheritance tax law, but Song President assures, "I'll handle it, so don't waver."

Yoon Heejae meets Ha Junho after receiving his call. Ha Junho asks, "Can I really do well?" Yoon Heejae replies, "You have to do well. There is no choice. Chairman Ha has already decided." He introduces Kevin Jung (played by Kim Jaecheol) as someone who will help Ha Junho.

On the way back from the meeting with Ha Junho, Kevin Jung tells Yoon Heejae, "I was surprised you contacted me." He asks about Lawyer Jeong and says, "Why are you so concerned about Lawyer Yoon?" Yoon Heejae replies, "Because I like him. Because he is someone I like. Is that what you wanted to hear?" which embarrasses Kevin Jung.

Jung Geumja receives a report from Park Juho (played by Hong Gijun) that no other drugs were detected in Ha Chanho except for zolpidem. Park Juho asks, "Anyone can see Ha Chanho is the culprit. Why are you defending him so much?" Jung Geumja says, "Seo Jeonghwa died because I told her to keep seeing Ha Chanho," and adds, "Shouldn't I do something for Seo Jeonghwa one last time?" She also reveals that her father threatened her.

Song President meets Yoon Choongyeon and threatens him to stay quiet if he opposes the inheritance tax law. Song President angrily says, "Who put you in that position?!" Yoon Choongyeon replies, "You put me there," showing he won't back down. Song President then says, "If you're going to oppose, just think about it. Don't say it out loud; just stay quiet."

Kevin Jung meets Jung Geumja separately and hands her a document to give to Prosecutor Kwon Yongwoon (played by Lee Gichan). After skimming the document, Jung Geumja says, "I won't do this," and returns it to Kevin Jung. She asks, "Why did you show this to me?" Kevin Jung answers, "Because I dislike Lawyer Yoon," and adds that he's a bit disappointed she won't do it. Later, Kevin Jung delivers the document to Prosecutor Kwon Yongwoon through someone else.

Yoon Heejae and Jung Geumja advise each other not to mix personal feelings into the Ha Chanho case. Meanwhile, Yoon Heejae confesses to Jung Geumja, saying, "Because I like you. Because you are someone I like." Jung Geumja asks if he met Juho and says, "Do you pity the past me?" Yoon Heejae replies, "I love the present Jung Geumja who has the past of Jung Eunyoung. No matter what your name was, you are just you. If you hate me, just say you hate me," confessing repeatedly.

In response to Yoon Heejae's confession, Jung Geumja says, "I don't hate you," and warns, "Your father will soon collapse. Stop it before it's too late." Yoon Heejae is shocked by Jung Geumja's words.
